‘Beat the Cheats’
By Alexander Brown, Director, National Citizens Coalition

With less than two weeks until Election Day on April 28, a palpable sense of hope and momentum is sweeping back across Canada. After a decade of Liberal mismanagement, voters are ready to reclaim their Canadian dream. At the National Citizens Coalition, we’re witnessing a groundswell of support for a shared vision that prioritizes prosperity, integrity, and a proud, self-respecting future—a vision starkly at odds with a faltering, embittered, gerontocratic Liberal campaign.
The Liberals, led by their unelected standard-bearer Mark Carney, are scrambling to salvage a campaign built on shaky foundations. Carney, parachuted into the role of Prime Minister from overseas, without a single vote from Canadians, embodies an elitist arrogance that grates on hardworking taxpayers. His deep ties to China, his questionable tax haven dealings with Brookfield, and his absence from Canada for over a decade raise serious concerns. Yet, when pressed for answers, he ducks, weaves, “umms” and “ahhs,” and shows clear disdain for accountability. Last week, his handlers yanked him off the campaign trail entirely, desperate to shield him from scrutiny. Canadians deserve better than a leader who hides when the heat is on.
After ten years in power, the Liberals have no record of achievement to stand on. Their tenure has been marked by skyrocketing costs, eroded freedoms, and a housing and immigration crisis that’s locked an entire generation out of the dream of homeownership. Instead of owning their failures, they’ve resorted to distractions. Their entire campaign has been built on fearmongering about Donald Trump, to deflect from their own dismal performance. It’s a tired playbook, and Canadians are starting to see through it.
Worse still, the Liberals have stooped to shameful stunts that undermine the very democratic process they claim to champion. Reports of hundreds of campaign signs being torn down in Ottawa and divisive buttons planted at the Canada Strong and Free conference—first exposed by none other than the CBC—reveal a campaign rooted in desperation, not principle. This isn’t leadership; it’s gutter politics. For the Gerald Butts crew, no low is too low. They accuse others of “hate” and “disinformation” while embodying the very tactics they decry. It’s party before country, plain and simple.
At the National Citizens Coalition, we’re fighting back with everything we’ve got. Our radio ads are blanketing key regions in Battleground Ontario, cutting through the noise with a message of hope, accountability, and reclaiming one’s personal agency. Our social media campaigns are reaching millions, amplifying the voices of Canadians who refuse to let their country be sold short. We’re in a full sprint to the finish line, and we won’t let up until we secure the outcome Canadians deserve: a government that respects their values, their wallets, and their future.
This election is about more than just defeating a flawed, compromised candidate, or a failing status-quo party. It’s about building a Canada where our children and grandchildren can afford homes, find meaningful work, and start families while they’re still young. It’s about restoring pride in our national symbols; not just during a fleeting three-week window in April, but every single day. It’s about rejecting the cynicism of a Liberal machine that’s rigged the game for too long. And it’s about reclaiming the promise of a nation that works for everyone from West to East.
The momentum is on our side, and we’re clawing back support from a Liberal campaign that’s crumbling under its lack of foundation. To every Canadian standing for common sense: thank you. Your resolve fuels this fight. Let’s keep the faith, charge toward that hopeful future, and send a clear message on April 28. Together, we’ll beat the cheats, and build a Canada we can all be proud of.
Onward and upward. Here’s to hope and change.
