Trudeau Continues to Mortgage the Future

Another day, another broken promise from the Trudeau government. With yesterday's fiscal update, embattled Finance Minister Bill Morneau ended all hopes of Trudeau's most dubious election promise: that he would balance the budget by the end of his four-year term.

Now would be the time to start paying off staggering, self-inflicted debt, but with the announcement of more big government spending around the corner, it just looks like more of the same. Trudeau and Morneau aren't above nickel-and-diming hard-working doctors, farmers, small business owners, and retail workers, but when it comes time to consider taking responsibility for their own reckless spending, that's simply out of the question.

NCC President Peter Coleman joined Andrew Lawton on AM980 last week to chat about the small victories being felt by small business owners, but also to touch on all the work that's still to come. Trudeau keeps pushing off the debt, knowing we're the ones that will be stuck holding the bill. With your help, we'll continue to keep the pressure on Ottawa all the way until 2019, when Canadians have their chance to put a stop to never-ending Trudeau debt!
