The Great Liberal Cover-Up Revealed

It's the latest in a long line of SNC bombshells that should spell the end for a Liberal government already revealed to be corrupt to its very core.

A confidential document obtained by CBC/Radio-Canada reveals how top officials at SNC-Lavalin were named in a scheme to illegally influence Canadian elections by donating over one-hundred thousand dollars to the Liberal Party. The Liberal Party and Elections Canada, who were both aware of the document for years, failed to make it public.

"The investigation reveals that over a period of more than five years between 2004 and 2009, 18 former SNC-Lavalin employees, directors and some spouses contributed nearly $110,000 to the federal Liberals, including to four party leadership campaigns and four riding associations in Quebec.

According to the letter, the investigation found that SNC-Lavalin reimbursed all of those individual donations — a practice forbidden under the Canada Elections Act."

As we all know, corporations have not been allowed to make donations to federal political parties in order to prevent corporate influence over election campaigns. Yet SNC did.

And they covered it up.

'Til now.

It's a revelation that calls into question the very legitimacy of the Liberal Party of Canada, the practices of Elections Canada, and, of course, the claims by the Prime Minister that SNC and other wealthy "friends" of his hold no special influence over the party.

Enough really is enough.
