RELEASE: A Tough Night, But Our Cause Endures – Thank You For Your Support

Dear Supporters of the National Citizens Coalition,
Monday’s election was a tough night, there's no question. The results hit hard, stirring a whirlwind of emotions and leaving a bitter taste. It’s taken me a few days to fully process, but I’m writing to share my reflections, express our deep gratitude, and reaffirm our resolve. The election may be over, but our cause is not. With your steadfast support, the National Citizens Coalition will continue to serve as a leading advocate for a stronger, freer Canada.
As I shared during election night coverage on the Western Standard, I’m immensely proud of the principled campaign we ran together, even if there were external forces and a drummed-up hysteria that rendered this such a challenge. From every corner of this great country, you—our supporters—stood with us as we tackled the issues that matter most: curbing rampant crime, addressing unchecked immigration, confronting reckless fiscal mismanagement and out of control inflation, and offering hope to younger generations for a brighter future, so that they can afford homes and start their families. The entire NCC team is profoundly grateful for your commitment, which powers our shared mission and amplifies your voice.
Our campaign cut through much of the noise. In Ontario, our video and radio ads, centered on a better future for our kids and grandkids, hit hundreds of thousands of people each day in the Battleground ridings, and helped make a difference in places like York Centre and Southwestern Ontario. While we all hoped for more seats, the rise in Conservative MPs across the province shows real progress. Downtown Toronto remains a bastion of Liberal malfeasance—no surprise there, but it is disappointing nonetheless. Out West, our messaging shone a light on the issues you wanted front and center, resonating deeply with voters. We made a difference in a few key ridings, and that’s a growing foundation to build on.
While the NCC is small-c conservative in nature, I personally want it to be known that I believe Pierre Poilievre helped inspire millions across this great country—working Canadians, young families, hard-working immigrant communities, and seniors—because they believe in a real plan to fix what’s broken and restore the promise of Canada and its values. His message of hope and accountability helped fuel our campaign, and I know that our work, and your wishes, reached many on the campaign trail, and on the campaign bus.
Unexpected challenges shifted the tide. President Trump’s interference gave the Liberals a convenient bogeyman, bolstering Mark Carney, who extorted that endorsement, and such luck, to maximum effect. The NDP’s lackluster effort, essentially ceding ground to the Liberals, proved costly. Jagmeet Singh’s alignment with the Liberals not only harmed the country but torched his own party. These challenges stung -- but they will not define us, or take away from a campaign that reached over TEN MILLION prospective voters, went viral far across the key digital channels, and helped inspire the best turnout in 31 years, the largest common-sense voter share in modern history, and the largest growth in young conservative voters ever.
Since 1967, the NCC has weathered storms and emerged stronger. With your continued support, we’ll remain a voice of reason and common sense, that helps guide the policy conversation and ensures that the voices of everyday working Canadians don't go ignored. Our issue-driven campaigns resonate, helping deliver tangible successes such as changing the Liberal consensus around the carbon tax, respect for our energy industry, or bringing about the beginning of immigration reform -- that are each of dire need and must continue to be prioritized. We wanted more, but we’re far from done. Canada is worth fighting for, and the NCC will continue to fight with unwavering resolve.
Your support is our backbone—your encouragement, contributions, and shared values make this work possible. I want to hear from you—your thoughts, concerns, and vision for Canada’s future. Please reach out to me hear at [email protected]. I’d be honored to connect and discuss how we can keep pushing forward.
Let’s keep the faith. This election proved our message resonates, Canadians are listening in record numbers, and our vision for a better future has traction. We’ll work tirelessly to amplify your impact, but we need you with us. Your support isn’t just valued—it’s vital.
Thank you for standing with us, for believing in a Canada rooted in freedom, responsibility, and opportunity. Together, we’ll keep fighting, undeterred by setbacks, driven by the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Peter Coleman
President
National Citizens Coalition
