Canada Needs A Serious Government, For Serious Times

We are living in unprecedented times in our great country. The Liberal Party, which believes it can act with impunity, has been treating Canadians with disdain for a decade. As you know, their misdeeds, missteps, financially disastrous policies, and total disregard for our military and the protection of our people have caught up with us, and the situation has worsened significantly this year.

Yesterday's spectacle of Trudeau announcing a buzzer-beating $90-billion high-speed rail project is not to be taken seriously. It is a desperate Hail Mary attempt to improve the Liberals' odds of winning seats in Ontario and Quebec as Trudeau heads for an ungraceful exit, trying anything to bolster his party and tarnished reputation. It won't work politically.

(The supposed contractors -- one of whom is a rebadged SNC-Lavalin -- were only given the green light at the last minute, and don't even appear to believe it will work practically. Here's a recent quote from the CEO of this 'project': "In a few years, we'll know what we're building.")

A serious government would prioritize building pipelines to the east and west coasts to increase our market opportunities to our allies, reducing our dependence on the U.S. market. It wouldn't forever kowtow to Quebec, or tell them something different than it tells Alberta. It would take seriously the threat of U.S. tariffs and the changing view that we must strengthen our military and defend our country, as we can no longer rely on the U.S. to do so. I encourage you to read this article by Mark Norman, former Vice Chair of the Defence Staff, who was treated so horribly by Trudeau. It's well worth the few minutes it takes to read.

A serious government would not allow an unelected Prime Minister, whose worldview contrasts so starkly with that of the U.S. President, to become leader. Mark Carney is a conflicted global elitist who, contrary to what the bought-and-paid-for legacy media claims, did not perform well as Governor of the Bank of England. He remains committed to his carbon tax nonsense and net-zero 2030 plan, even as major banks have wisely abandoned such disastrous policies.

Carney is yesterday's man: a failed ideologue from ten years ago. The world has moved on from his indulgences, and a decade of weakness and wealth redistribution. Canada must too.

A serious government would prioritize border security, rebuild our military to its former globally respected status, enhance our ability to deliver our vast resources to world markets, and take our financial responsibilities seriously to improve the standard of living for all Canadians.

We do not have a serious government in Ottawa. They are too busy trying to save their own party. It is time for a new direction. Mark Carney, and a tired, corrupt party that is out of ideas, are not the answer. They have failed our younger generations, and removed the attainable dream of home ownership, stable employment, and even having a family doctor. For them to eke out another victory, and return to denying tens of millions of Canadians hope for the future, would be unconscionable. We will continue to do all we can to ensure that never happens.

Your incredibly valued support is needed now more than ever as we navigate these uncharted waters. With your help, we will continue to reach millions of Canadians who are seeking change and a better future. Together, we will get there.
