Release: Betraying Canadian Workers

The Liberal-NDP 'Supply and Confidence Agreement' has been a disaster for Canadian workers. More accurately, Canadian workers have been betrayed.

Their catastrophic mismanagement of opening up the 'temporary foreign worker' taps has led to the abandonment and replacement of working-class Canadians, and even denied a record amount of young Canadians entry-level jobs. In return, Canada's lower and middle classes are increasingly feeling abandoned, and understandably so.

That leads to more anger and more resentment, and where that ends up is nowhere good.

The Trudeau Liberals could change this TODAY. The fact that they won't is incredibly alarming. In many ways, this is truly the biggest scandal in Canada. And here at the leading Fire Trudeau Fund we won't stop advocating on your behalf until we return to the responsible, self-respecting immigration totals of just years ago.

The Trudeau Liberals' approach to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program and mass immigration continues to be a massive scandal:

  • The historic increase in temporary foreign workers has led to a suppression of wages, particularly in lower-wage sectors. This policy, expanded under Trudeau, has been seen as a mechanism to provide cheap subsidized labour for corporate partners, at the clear expense of Canadian workers' wages and job opportunities.
  • This rapid influx of temporary residents, including students and workers, has put immense pressure on housing markets, contributing to affordability crises in major cities.
  • There are understandable concerns over the pace of integration for such a large number of temporary residents and how that leads to problems without adequate integration strategies, which has massively impacted our social cohesion and our communities.
  • Many reports have highlighted instances of fraud within the TFWP, where workers are exploited and made to live in squalor. The mere fact that governments and these "slave labour" obsessed corporations are sending these predominantly young Indian males into unconscionable conditions -- with 15 other housemates in a basement -- tells you the program shouldn't exist for them in the first place.
  • And, of course, during the Harper years, Trudeau was even a vocal proponent of a TFWP program that was then kept in check, expressing his opinion that it replaces Canadian jobs and takes advantage of those willing to come here to work for less. Which was true then -- and even more true now.

We can choose to let public frustration and alienation simmer, OR we can force change and accountability before the election, for the best of the country, and that's exactly what we have to do.

When our very workers are being betrayed, and de-skilled mass immigration is fundamentally changing our Canada without any Canadian having voted for it, that's not remotely acceptable.

I've had enough of Trudeau's breaking of a system we used to be proud of. I've had enough of an entire generation being denied hope, and millions of working families feeling the squeeze. How about you?

Will you help the NCC and our leading Fire Trudeau campaign reach as many voters as possible with the truth about Trudeau's disloyal and deliberately broken immigration system?

Thanks for all that you do. We have to end this madness together.
