New Polls Confirm Trudeau's Mid-Term Blues

A new Angus Reid poll confirms what many Canadians already know to be true: the bloom is off the rose for Prime Minister Trudeau and his government.

While many of those polled still describe him as "Charismatic, modern, and compassionate," nearly "three times as many Canadians say the government has been putting too much emphasis on PR and photo-ops in its first two years than say it has been making real progress and getting things done (44% versus 13%, respectively)."

With recent polls also indicating that the Liberal and Conservative parties are in a dead-heat after just two years on the job, the message to Ottawa from Canadian taxpayers seems clear: "Trudeau's celebrity is no substitute for policy results."
