It's time for a New Deal for Alberta.

Federal Liberal policies, supported by the NDP, have targeted Alberta’s energy, agriculture, and job sectors for a decade, causing economic harm, widespread frustration, and deep-seeded feelings of alienation. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith understands the importance of this moment, and has proposed a new path forward, calling for fair treatment and respect for the province’s economic contributions.

WE, the undersigned, call on the Government of Canada to honour Premier Danielle Smith’s good-faith request by implementing the following reforms:

Guarantee Corridor and Port Access

Provide Alberta unrestricted access to Pacific, Arctic, and Atlantic coasts for the international export of oil, gas, critical minerals, and other resources, based on market demand, not federal restrictions or the wishes of de-growth zealots.

Repeal Harmful Federal Laws

Repeal Bill C-69 (no new pipelines law), the oil tanker ban, 'net zero' electricity regulations, the oil and gas emissions cap, the 'net zero' vehicle mandate, and regulations targeting industrial carbon emissions or the commercial free speech of our great Canadian energy companies.

Prohibit Unauthorized Export Restrictions

Commit to refraining from imposing export taxes or restrictions on Alberta’s resources without the explicit consent of the Government of Alberta.

Ensure Fair Federal Transfers

Provide Alberta the same per-capita federal transfers and equalization payments as Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia, recognizing Alberta’s contributions to Canada, and its place as the true economic engine of Canada.

WE DEMAND Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Government of Canada negotiate in good faith with Premier Smith, honour these requests, and deliver a New Deal that ensures Alberta’s prosperity, autonomy, and fair treatment within Confederation.
