I am writing this blog from the deck of the Celebrity Solstice on the first annual National Citizens Coalition cruise. The purpose of this cruise is to promote the NCC and give many of our members a chance to mingle and interact with our panel of guest speakers (Lorne Gunter, David Frum, Peter Worthington and John McLaughlin). 

We’ve had great discussions about both the Canadian and US political scenes. There is a strong consensus among both our members and speakers that the Conservative stimulus package contains far too much deficit spending. There is also a belief that the $820 billion stimulus package in the US is totally out of control.

We hope to make this cruise an annual event and we will have more details for you next week.
