The NCC's original means of communication was through paid newspaper advertisements.

While politicians had ready access to the press in order to express their views, Colin M. Brown used paid advertising, the cost of which he underwrote himself, to offer the public an opportunity to express their own views and opinions.

Through this medium the National Citizens Coalition was formed!
